Cape Cod.  Salty air, cool breezes, gorgeous sunsets.  Add pretty mama and  adorable and oh-so-deliciously chunky baby with her favorite toys and it’s a recipe for a fabulous shoot.  The light, the tide, the gorgeous clouds that rolled in and warm bay water were all components in making this just an amazing experience.  I am very interested in doing mom and baby mini sessions at this location later this summer and through September.  I will be sending out a newsletter soon to announce dates.  They will fill up fast so don’t delay once the announcement comes out!    Beautiful custom seashell headband designed by my beautiful friend Juliet of Maya’s Curls!

Enjoy! xoxo

This session was just featured in CHIC Magazine’s “Natural” issue.  You can pick your digital copy up here.

Tre Cavil - Great use of the sun! These are gorgeous pics!

There’s nothing more rewarding and humbling than being asked back to photograph a family time and time again.  I’ve photographed Ella and her adoring parents 3 times now.  We are already in the works for their summer session this year.  Yep, outfits picked, theme coming into play and location being decided.  It is so fun to work with clients who are so involved and enthusiastic about creating such special sessions.  This was the second session where I got my clients IN the water and shot til there was only a drip of light left.  From my expected airy, light infused images I started creating moodier, warmer images.  You find that the way you normally edit doesn’t work the same on images like these so I had to change it up a bit.  I really love the outcome.  I will continue to push the light boundaries this summer on these beach shoots.  Wanna join me?  Trust me, you will have a blast and so will your kiddos!  I’m offering $75 off session fees to new client bookings.  I will extend this through Monday for a bit of a holiday weekend special.   Whether you are on Cape Cod, Boston or any of the surrounding areas and looking for a family photographer–look no further.  Let’s start planning your own very special session!

I’d like to add I was completely obsessed with her little Tutu Du Monde ensemble in these first shots!  The Final Act Cape, Show Stopper Shorts and Miss Anna Top…I mean, really?  Can you stand how cute these are??  I’m really kind of obsessed with everything of theirs.  Definitely a go-to shop for your little girl and her portrait session.  Also, you can buy those adorable sun suits from The Measure.  If you’re already a blog follower and fan than you’re probably already familiar with Kiki’s line…if not head on over and check her out!

This crack me up…she’s totally pointing and laughing at dad!

And a video I shot during the session….

Oh Isabella.  The girl with the old soul and ability to tell a story without saying a single word.  It’s shoots like this where I can let things unfold naturally and let the child take the reigns that magic can happen.  I’ve been photographing Isabella for the last 5 years and each session has outdone the last.  Mom and I decide on dresses and theme and Isabella does the rest.  In this session I got to use an incredible 100+ year old handmade wooden dollhouse that I scored on Craigslist.  It’s incredible.  Right down to wallpapers in rooms, shingles, real glass windows….I might need to do a blog post separately just to show the workmanship.  Currently we are in the beginning stages of planning her next session this summer.

I know only great things will come!

If you are in Boston, Cape Cod or the surrounding areas and are looking for a children’s photographer for your own little storytellers, you can email or call me anytime to discuss details and timing.  Summer is filling up so be sure to get in touch now to secure those dates!  Enjoy! xoxox

channeling amelia : boston children's photographer - […] My gut tells me she’s going to be a *big* star some day.  Each session gets better and better.  We wonder how can we out-do the last year but it all plays out as it should and each is […]

This beauty came all the way from Vermont to have her senior portraits done last July.  She is an equestrian and I was SO excited to finally incorporate a beautiful horse into a session.  She didn’t bring her boy down but a local horse owner allowed us to use her gorgeous Palomino–whom I’ve admired all the times I’ve stopped in to a local stable.  He was a bit frisky but because she is so comfortable with handling horses, she was able to get him to cooperate…a bit.   From Boho to goddess, the day ended beautifully in one of her ethereal gowns .  Madison competes in pageants and went on to win the title of Miss Vermont Teen in February.  She is going on to compete for Miss Teen USA later this summer in the Bahamas!  Loads of luck to you, Madison!

If  you are a junior in the Boston, South Shore or Cape Cod areas and looking for a senior portrait photographer I will be offering up mini sessions for those looking to get a handful of shots for yourselves and the yearbook.  This could be really fun to do with a group of your friends on the same afternoon.  Please email me for booking info!

Eduard Kooij - These are really gorgeous photographs. You are looks so pretty. All picture are really beautiful but last one is really amazing. Horse looks very nice..

Hello and Happy Monday to everyone!  I had a busy, fun-filled weekend of entertaining.  I was able to meet some ladies that I’ve become friends with on Facebook over the past couple of years.  It was so good to be able to finally give them a squeeze in person, have them in my home and meet my family, to “break bread” and laugh until our sides felt like splitting.  A few of them are designers, one of which you may already know very well through my work here, Ms. Kiki Fluhr of The Measure, also Juliet Carey of Maya’s Curls and Jayme Lillie of Lillipops Designs.  I literally spent the day relaxing yesterday and although I could potentially be a couch potato again today because this weather just makes me want to crawl up and be a hermit, with a full night’s sleep I am ready to start the week full throttle–and that means it’s time to start blogging in high gear!

Meet Justin and his beautiful momma.  If you are in Boston or the surrounding areas and looking to book a newborn photographer…I can come to you!  No need to venture out with your little one if you feel you might not be up to it.  If it’s a lifestyle session or  you’re looking for or a studio style session, I bring all the cute hats, wraps and blankets.  If you feel your home doesn’t have ample natural light, I also invite you to come to my home in Bridgewater for your session.  The images below were shot here!  In terms of timing, it is best that you book your session before the baby is born to ensure we get you into my calendar.  Studio style sessions are best photographed when the baby is between 5-10 days old.  Lifestyle sessions can happen anytime within the first 6 weeks.  Please email me to inquire about setting your session!

Enjoy! xoxo
