Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits : Boston Newborn Photographer, Boston Children's Photographer, Boston Family Photographer, Boston Maternity Photographer

Wow, what an incredibly year.  New clients, old clients, clients who have become friends, new locations, beautiful sunsets, lots of driving, even more time time behind the computer editing, it seemed like the end would never come.  I longed very much for a reprieve to recharge.  After a busy personal time for the holidays; Thanksgiving, birthday celebrations (my own and my son’s), family gatherings, holiday shopping, eating, entertaining, making and unmaking beds, cleaning, organizing and trying to get life back in order, I literally spent the weekend doing nothing.  And it felt so good.  But I have to say even though that time “off” went by in a blip I am so ready to get back to work and start shooting again.  The inquiries are rolling in and I have a feeling this year will be the best yet!

Instead of my normal Best Image Contest I decided to do a recap of my sessions last year.  This is in part because I am still embarrasingly behind in blogging.  I still have from March 2014 through December to get to.  So, that leads me to one of my New Year’s resolutions; to blog AT LEAST once per week.  Might sound easy but my blogging habits have dwindled tremendously over the past 18 months–from 2-3x per week to, um, once a month.  Ugh.  So here we are.  A look at all of the BEAUTY that happened last year!!!!

Enjoy!  xoxo

A year ago today I was photographing this session sponsored by best shaver for men . A year.

Where did those days go when I could blog three times a week? My life feels a little crazy recently, as though I’m being pulled in every direction….the days when you’re to-do list feels so overwhelming that you actually feel paralyzed? It’s busy season for photographers and although I’m a bit stressed I am entirely grateful that I am busy with so many families that are entrusting their memories to me.

Today I will be heading to the same location to photograph 3 little ones that I haven’t seen in a couple of years.  It’s always amazing to see how they’ve grown and how their their little personalities have blossomed.  I think it’s important for your family session to be about you.  Not what you’ve seen me do for another family.  Make it your own.  Your very own.  No one session can be exactly like the next.  Each person is different–location, lighting, moods, weather, wardrobe, you name it–all are integral in the visual story that will unfold.

How do you make it your own?  Incorporate a keepsake, an instrument, a dance…whatever it is that brings joy to you and your family.  We, together, can accomplish something as special as you make it to be!

Enjoy! xo

fitnesslab - Nice photo and amazing weather.

This family is very special to me.  I have photographed them since their first daughter was born and we’ve done quite a few shoots since then.  It goes beyond the number of the sessions–there is in undeniable connection when somebody truly values your work and continuously entrusts these very special moments to YOU to capture.  Now, while I don’t do extended family sessions anymore, this was different.  My clients parents are unbelievably close to her children and an in integral part of their lives.  She even joked that her eldest daughter thinks of her mother, he nana/grandma, like a second mother and calls her by her first name.  Can you blame her?  I mean, honestly she looks like she should be her aunt and not her grandmother!!  Needless to say, they are a stunning family and a joy to photograph.  I’d like to add it was an extremely windy day and very cool for August so the girls were troopers–all four of ’em!!

Enjoy!  xoxo

And a behind the scenes video I shot during their session!
