This little guy was just that–from the minute I was greeted at the door until the very end.  What an absolute JOY!  And can you believe the head of hair for just seven months old?  And those eyes?  I know, I know…I could go on and on about what a beautiful little boy he is but you can see for yourself!

    SeaLore Designs - Amazing pictures!

I can’t quite believe it but I started knitting.  Well, let me rephrase that…I started taking classes today with a wonderful woman in Sandwich, MA.  I had a one on one this afternoon and I actually did pretty well!  I was nervous to start just because I felt sort of clumsy and I know myself and can get aggrevated really quickly if something doesn’t happen as easily and fast as I expect it to.  But, I am proud to say by the end of the hour I was zipping along.  I am looking forward to getting warm and cozy on the couch tonight and getting some more done on my soon-to-be scarf.  I should actually be editing but for tonight I think I’ll take some “me” time.  I’ve been to Sandwich before for photo shoots and it’s such a pretty town.  I absolutely love the 1000 foot boardwalk and decided to drive by since it was just around the corner from her office.  I was surprised to see other cars there since it was only about 18 degrees today (ugh!!!) but it is such a tranquil spot, I guess it’s not so surprising that people find joy in going even during the winter months.  So in keeping up with Project 365, I snapped some photos and froze my fingers all the while.

I love, love, loooove to photograph babies and today’s shoot was with 14 month old James.  What an absolute cutie pie.  He didn’t stop smiling the entire time I was there!  We hung out in his nursery, grooved to some Raffi and in just over an hour of shooting, it was a wrap. 🙂  His older dog-brother “Jack” hung around and made sure everything was ok and made it into a couple of shots.  I think he was actually the real ham.

It’s a little ways away but I am soooo excited to be hosting a Matilda Jane trunk show on March 8th. Hosting makes me a “Jane”–kinda fun to have another name just for a day 🙂 The clothing is so incredible and can only be purchased at a trunk show from a trunk keeper. I will be opening my home up to 25 people and I have a feeling it’s gonna fill up fast! The reaction I’ve gotten from a handful of moms who have never seen MJ clothing before was fantastic. It will be a household name in Massachusetts before you know it–trust me. Not only is it gorgeous to look at; unique fabric combinations, lovely colors, embellishments and lots of whimsy, it photographs REALLY well which is why I have a slew of stuff and I don’t even have a daughter! Today I did a mini shoot with this absolutely beautiful little girl who is the niece of one of my all time favorite clients. I thought this would be a good way for you all to see their style before the new Spring 2009 line comes out in March.

I’m beginning to feel overwhelmed. Maybe I’ve been overwhelmed the entire time but it’s just catching up to me now. There is so much I want to do, the ideas are just overflowing. I keep lists because there is no way of remembering everything! Between the 3 photographer forums I’m a member of, my website, my blog, other wonderful blogs I read, Facebook, Flickr, Project 365, photo shoots and did I mention anything yet about my day to day personal life?…that’s a lot to keep up with. There needs to be more hours in the day–truly! I am even scheduled to take a knitting class this coming week. Should be interesting to see where I fit that in! ha! I have been very bad at keeping the blog up to date so I apologize if you are a regular visitor and have seen the same stuff for the past 4 days or so. In the midst of all of this “keeping up”, I was out and about yesterday looking for props and came across this beautiful throw at Homegoods. I plan on using it on an upcoming newborn shoot. Be sure to stay tuned to see it in action.
