Ingredients
  1. 1 head of cauliflower
  2. 3 eggs
  3. 2 garlic cloves minced
  4. 1 tsp. onion powder
  5. ¼ cup fresh chopped parsley
  6. Pinch of dried oregano
  7. ¼ grated romano cheese
  8. 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  9. Salt & Pepper
  10. 6 leaves of basil, gently chopped
  11. White truffle oil (optional)
Instructions
  1. Wash and thoroughly dry cauliflower. Rice the florets in your food processor. Place in large bowl and microwave for 8-10 minutes. I did it uncovered so it didn’t retain any moisture. This way you don’t have to wring it out! Add 3 beaten eggs, garlic, onion powder, romano, half of parsley, half of mozzarella, salt & pepper to taste.
  2. Spread mixture on parchment covered sheet pan. Cook until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Add the rest of mozzarella until bubbling.
  3. Finish with the rest of the parsley, basil and a drizzle of white truffle oil. Serve as is or with homemade tomato sauce.
Notes
  1. **Because I tend to cook with fresh parsley in so many recipes I always have it on hand. I usually buy 2-3 heads at a time, wash, thoroughly dry, de-stem and then food process until finely chopped. I then store in a ziplock bag in the freezer, flat so it doesn't freeze into a giant ball. Ready to go whenever you need it!
  2. **Crush the oregano between your palms to "open" up the herb and bring out its real flavor.
  3. **My go to jarred tomato sauce is Raos.

Sara - Love this, can’t wait to try!

I will say it again and again.  I LOVE MATERNITY SESSIONS!!  There are so many ways to shoot them so even if you’re not sure about showing your belly or ready to bare it all it is SUCH a remarkable time in your life that I feel it is so important to capture this time.  You will not regret it, promise!

It’s winter and there’s snow on the ground but that doesn’t mean we can’t get outside for part or even the entire shoot!  I am here to help you pick the perfect outfits indoor or out.  The best time to schedule your maternity session is around your 7th month.  To learn more about booking your maternity portrait session click here or give me a ring!

I never tire of photographing this beautiful mama and her growing family.  Thank you for trusting me and braving the waves! xoxo

Can we talk?

I’ll be honest, 2016 was an off year for me.  My head didn’t feel totally in the game and I knew I needed to take a step back.
A bit of a creative reprieve while I did a little soul searching.  I took on fewer shoots so I didn’t feel like by the end of the fall season I was
completely lacking of anything artistically I could give to my clients or physically and emotionally to my family.  As with any new year,
I think that we all feel that push to be and do something better than we were capable of the year before. I feel that right now.
I’m ready not only in my mind but in my heart. I cannot wait to create more, to let inspiration manifest into something so beautiful it takes my breath away—any hopefully yours.

“Whenever you are creative beauty around you, you are restoring your own soul”—Alice Walker

And with that I say, HELLO 2017!!!

Here’s a look at some memorable moments in twenty-sixteen.  Unfortunately I couldn’t them all into a two minute and fifty second video but hopefully these will make you smile!

xoxo

FroGirl - I must say that your work is simply amazing! Every image is just clean and pure; capturing the natural beauty in the models and surroundings. I normally love producing black and white images, but after looking at your work it has opened my eyes to a new world of photography. For someone starting out, do you have any suggestions on what you should and should not do when shooting?

It surprises me every year.

The year flies by and I wonder how it is that it’s *already* the week after Thanksgiving and I’m behind on pretty much everything.  Yet here it is, November 29th and I still haven’t photographed my boys for our Christmas card.  I truly believe I work best under pressure which is probably why I continue to procrastinate like I do.  But that doesn’t mean inside my mind is a-swirl and it feels a tad out of control.

So. Much. To. Do.

This blog?  Fugettaboutit.  There are many beautiful sessions just waiting to tell their own story here.  Like this one photographed October 2015 (yep—that’s how far back I’m still bloggin!).  I have so much fun photographing lifestyle sessions like these.  Doesn’t hurt when mom has a light filled artist studio up on the third floor.  Looks like Ms. Paige might be taking after her mom in the talent department.

If you missed out on getting an outdoor session this summer or fall, alternatively it can be really fun to cozy up in doors and do a lifestyle session with your little ones.  Snuggles, bubble baths, whatever feels true to you and natural.  To book your family portraits this winter you can inquire at info@bellinipics.com

And, don’t miss this behind the scenes video of this session….

Enjoy!

(sigh.  sips coffee)

There is much to be said today.  Social media is flooded with sadness, disbelief and anger today.  I am choosing to not be a part of the rhetoric.  Instead I want to focus solely on positivity.    What we must do is teach our children love, respect, acceptance and kindness. It all starts in the home.  “Good parents give their children roots and wings. Roots to know where home is, and wings to fly away and exercise what has been taught to them.”

I’ve been wanting to post this session for quite some time.  I photographed it back in October 2015.  Stylistically a little darker in processing than I normally do but the location just called for something a bit more on the magical and mysterious side.  You can see from this and many of our previous sessions, and there have been many, that she is exceptional at styling.  The clothing for her daughter is beyond beautiful.  She spares nothing when it comes to the finest dresses and littlest details from hair accessories to shoes.  Even including mom’s easter dress from when she was a little girl and dad’s rocking horse from childhood. I am always so excited to see what she has pulled together!  I haven’t had a chance to fully blog it but we worked on a styled tea party shoot a couple of months prior to this.  We were thrilled that 100 Layer Cakelet picked it up as a feature.  Lots of time and love went into that project, fully styled by Kara and props and wardrobe provided by all women vendors. Kudos, Kara!

So just follow us into the magical forest, and forget about it all for few….

Robyn Milora - Kara’s clothing and prop selections for her family’s photo sessions are always jaw-dropping. Everything is PERFECT! Ethereal, elegant, majestic and refined. And Ella looks like the princess she was born to be in every photo Stephanie takes of her. Beautiful work, and a beautiful family.
