Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits : Boston Newborn Photographer, Boston Children's Photographer, Boston Family Photographer, Boston Maternity Photographer

I had hoped to post this yesterday but my house was full of family and lots of cheer and I never made it to my computer.  I wanted to wish all of my clients, Facebook and blog friends a Happy Holiday!  With that, I’d like to share 0ur 2010 family Christmas card and images from the session.  I had a fabulous concept to get both of my boys on a vintage iron bed with a string of christmas lights in the shape of a sail.  I came up with the idea after seeing Ernie & Bert’s Great Adventure; the bed flies with a white sail, combined with an image I found in an old Cookie magazine photo of a beat up old sailboat with Christmas lights along it’s sides.  I kept this idea top secret for months and finally did the shoot 14 days before Christmas.  Nothing like waiting ’til the last minute!!  It didn’t go as well as I had hoped and never got a great shot of both boys on the bed so it didn’t make it to the front of the card [sigh].  Oh well.  Sometimes things don’t work out as you plan, no matter how hard you try.  🙂  I hope you all enjoyed time with the people you hold closest to your hearts.  xoxoxo

‘Tis the time of year that my inner baking goddess comes to life and I feel the need to bake my heart out.  Typically I don’t eat many of my baked goodies; having smelled the essence of chocolate and butter (oooooh lots and lotsa butter) all day long I feel sated–pleasantly full.  I started off strong and positive yesterday morning.  My attitude had a bit of giddy effervescence to it.  Almost 8 hours later and I was less like June Cleaver and a bit more like…well, just a crabby and exhausted wannabe baker goddess with flour and butter on her jeans and sore lower back.  Hence why there are pictures of cookies #1 and #2 and none of the other lovelies.  Another day, another blog post I suppose.  For now, I’d like to share some delightful eye-candy of “Hot Chocolate Cookies” and, a family favorite, “Melting Moments”.  Enjoy!  xo

doesn't this look like ice-cream???? mmmm.

Barbara Connallon - Beautiful Steph! Melting moments are still a family favorite. Love to you all.

Sorry I was MIA for a while.  I was on vacation with my husband, sans children (thanks Lisa!), in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos.  It was pretty spectacular.  But I’m back now and winding down my shoots for 2010.  Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing 3 beautiful children in their lovely home in Lexington.  Since we were limited to indoors only (it’s North Pole cold out there, people!) we kinda of just let the shoot unfold as it may, letting the kids lead me between their bedrooms for some fun with books, dancing and singing to my iPhone kids music playlist, loving up on their new baby brother and directing their 140lb bull mastiff’s to sit and look pretty.  Just add dog wrangler and  pet photographer to my repetoire! 😉 Thanks for a great morning!!  Enjoy!  xoxo

don't you adore this crib bedding?!?
