Sometimes it all comes together just right–the light, the way the breeze catches her wispy hair, the sparkle in her eyes….and you see what you’ve captured and you feel that little tug on your heart.  It’s the same feeling that you got when you knew you had to follow that joyful heart and become a photographer.  It’s truly a blessing that I get to do what I love so much day by day and give people these memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.  I photographed this gorgeous little girl and her equally beautiful parents back at the end of October.  So stylin’ with her little UGGs and faux fur jacket–too adorable!!  I cannot wait to shower my baby niece Finley with adorable clothes like this! 🙂

Can it be?  Are we already looking toward fall family portraits?  I feel like winter drags on and on and then all of a sudden my summer schedule is booked and I’m booking my fall clients in June.  I don’t know how it happens it creeps up every year like this.  And here I am blogging October sessions and it’s almost July 4th.  Tsk tsk!  That being said I only have two, possibly 3 weekday summer sessions left.  Other than that I am booking Sept/Oct/Nov dates going forward.

Moving on….do you remember this beautiful mama?  She was a maternity client a couple of years ago.  Such a stunner!  Ladies, I know it’s hard to believe but she was 6 weeks out from her due date in these photos.  Soooo not fair, right?!  Fast forward to last October when met again for their family portrait session.  Lil’ Rose was a teensy bit shy but I loved the different expressions I captured in between giggling at mom and dad.  Enjoy! xoxo

Just one of my beautiful sister and her son for now.  More of her maternity session coming soon.  If you are looking to book your maternity photographer, the best time to schedule your session is around your 7th or 8th month.  You will still be feeling good and able to walk and move around comfortably.  Interested?  Email me!

Ok, so from fall we back track to summer….are ya following me?  I know, a little out of sequence here but this is the 2nd post in two days so I’m feeling pretty good about myself!  The days of blogging 3 -4 times a week feel like a lifetime ago.  Is blogging going by the wayside, in your opinion?  Maybe it’s just that there is just so much to keep up on that people don’t have time to stop by and say hello anymore.  So if you’re out there (insert echo here), please leave a note so I know you here!  Okay?  Danka!

These images were shot last September at our beach house and these boys had such a blast!  Their beautiful momma works in our home every other week and it was so fantastic to see her all dolled up.  With the palpable love from her husband and her children, she was just beaming that evening.  To all the mother’s out there, take time to make these portrait sessions about YOU, too!  Have your hair & makeup professionally done if you’re not great at it.  You will feel confident and beautiful but the most important thing is being there, being present.  Your children will be able to look back at these images some day and get as much joy out of them then as you do now. xoxo
