You may know me best for my portrait work of children and families but I dabble a bit on the side with boudoir and men fashion photography. There is something so invigorating when working with a team of other creative individuals, whether a wardrobe stylist or hair & makeup artist, PLUS a willing model who takes direction rather than running in the opposite direction of you across a sunlit field. I literally become giddy and lost for words when everything comes together. If you are one of those people you know how verklempt and excited I get when shooting! 😉 Most recently I teamed up with one of my good friends and uber talented hair & make up artist, Gary Croteau of Salon Mario Russo, for the annual Oribe Backstage Inspiration Challenge. Our theme was a 50’s/60’s housewife and as the shoot went on the more our model, Christine, became the very part of the beautiful, doting but somewhat unhappy wife. The home we shot in was a time capsule and the perfect backdrop for this retro shoot. With hundreds of submissions and thousands of votes we came in 5th place! Not too shabby. I foresee many more shoots like these in my future!! Enjoy!
Back in February I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful mama and her scrumptious baby boy. He has the most delicious, pouty lips and chunky little legs. Capturing these precious mother and baby photos has become one of my favorite genres. These moments are so fleeting so think about capturing this time with your little one before he’s on the go! The winter months are perfect for doing those gorgeous indoor lifestyle shoots. It’s as simple as these shots here; your bedroom, your baby and you! Enjoy!
And a behind the scenes video of our morning together!

so simple and beautiful.
I had such a blast working on my most recent shoot for Baystate Parent Magazine’s October issue. The theme was plainly “kids fall fashion” but I wanted to make it special by using real siblings for the shoot of the new vera pelle bags. It was fun going through all of my submissions I received after sending out word on my Facebook business page of my casting needs. There are so many more siblings I wish I could have used!! So, thank you to all who sent in images of your beautiful children–I hope to have something for them very soon! The location was perfect–an old warehouse building with loads of light and dusty wood floors. With the help of sisters Jen & Christine of Epiphany Kids Boutique in Nortgborough we came up with 3 different types of looks; a more classical look for our sisters Liv & Mia, a bright and fun look for Luke & Laela, and then a hipster look for brothers Eamon and Aaron. I asked Molly of Little Goodall to supply some of her adorable coats as I thought they were very apropos being that they could even be used as part of a Halloween costume. I’ve loved her coats for some time now–I even did a shoot with my son in early 2011 for Molly. You can see that here! I don’t know if the kids enjoyed modeling more or the fact that they got to miss a little school to be on the shoot with me! Either way we all had a fabulous time. Enjoy! xoxo

I always love looking at your pictures… They are beautiful! Wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing the lens you used for these? Prime? What f-stop? Thanks!

Adorable! I especially love the fox hooded hats!
So little, so new. Even at 4 weeks he was still a tiny thing! If you are in and around the Boston area and looking for a newborn photographer to capture those precious early moments, please don’t hesitate to call! The best time to book if before your baby is born but we all know how hectic life can get. Even if you miss those first two weeks we can still do a beautiful lifestyle session in your home with with your family. It’s all about capturing those in between moments; the bonding, the love, the connections.

Gah! Can you please sell your actions?? Or even better, make lightroom presets? 😉
It was a chilly evening last November 5th. I waved to my clients as they arrived at the field. I hadn’t met them before but it was like we had known each other for years. The girls raced up to me with such joy and excitement, despite the dipping temperatures and wind that whipped our cheeks until they were pink. I remember their beaming faces smiling up at me as they handed me cookies as a gift and I was so touched by such a thoughtful gesture. When we discussed her vision beforehand, my client had told me how much the girls loved the images they had seen on my site and how they, too, wanted “magic” in their session. I promised we would have fun and I would bring some props that would hopefully inspire such a feeling. They let their imaginations run–and, oh, what imaginations they have! They kept me smiling and laughing the entire time. We shivered, but laughed it off and kept going until the sun went down behind the hill and there was no more light except for a candy colored glow that lingered on the horizon. It was like the sky hugged the earth with a warm hug–mirroring the way momma kept them warm for the final shot.
I do believe the girls had the magical time they had hoped for…..
Enjoy! xoxo
