Here we are–our third annual vacation in Newport, RI. Our rental is actually in Middletown but we are just under 2 miles to Thames Street and within walking distance to Easton’s Beach and 2nd & 3rd Beach. We love our rental-it is spacious, has a big beautiful yard and wrap around porch and the interiors are gorgeous. My friend came for an overnight with her 3 year old son and we got trapped inside all day yesterday because it was raining sideways. The storm was intense–I swear lightning must have struck just a block away. But the rain did finally give way to sunshine and finally a glorious night. We had dinner at The Clarke Cooke House followed by drinks at 41 North which is always posh and fabulous–albeit very quiet but it was Monday night. Somewhat of a late night for us and unfortunately our children do not sleep in and we were up at 4:30 and then finally 5:45. UGH! They need Early Riser Intervention…anyone got the number?
Here’s a shot of my friend’s son Charlie and my son Grayson, almost 3 and almost 4 respectively. It is so cute to see them play together. Of course they have their moments of “mine, mine, mine!” but for the most part they are pals and really enjoy being together.
And finally a couple of shots of my youngest, who just turned 7 months on the 12th of July.
More vaca shots to come all week! Easton’s Beach and Sweet Berry Farms!
