I’ve got the urge. The urge to merge flour and sugar. It’s that time of year again–the air is cooler, the days are shorter and my beautiful kitchen is luring me back to bake. I was battling with my new gas range last fall when we first moved into our new house. While I have always cooked with a gas stove top, I’d never had a gas oven as well. I burnt a lot of cookies and started to think I lost my cooking mojo. Turned out the oven wasn’t properly calibrated. Phew. It wasn’t my fault. No wonder why my cookies would be burnt in 5 minutes. I was cooking them at 500 degrees. Oy. Anyway, we are back to being friends and I’m getting excited about all the baking that I know is to come. First up, chocolate chip cookies. I’ve played with the recipe a bit and added my own touch. They’re pretty divine, if I do say so myself. I will try to not eat all the cookie dough before they get into the oven. 🙂 xoxo
Natalie Clayshulte - I always feel autumn in the air when the days start to get shorter. I just bought a apple spice candle yesterday and I’m feeling the mood for baking! Beautiful photos – very inspirational!!
karin - I keep looking at these photos. I love them so much. Beautiful work all around. 🙂
