Notice anything new?  Yep, I have a brand-spankin-new logo!  After a couple of months of waiting and a month of going back and forth with a graphic designer, we finally got to where we are now.  What do you think?  I’ve done all my logos in the past and even some for others, including my husband’s current and last business, but I felt this time I wanted to hand it over to a “real” designer.  While I loved all the blues I’ve used in the past, I am really drawn to these colors.  They are so upbeat and cheerful.  Hope you like it!  Also, I tried out a new backdrop with my son yesterday.  I LOVE these shots.  Thankfully my mom was there to wrangle and entertain him!

This little guy wasn’t about to cave so easily for me today.  He made me, mom and dad REALLY work it out for the smiles!  He was a little leary of me, especially of the big ol’ lens, but his momma  reassured me it wasn’t me and that he’s had a little stranger anxiety lately.  Phew.  Can you get a load of these big blue eyes?!  To me, he looks like a perfect little doll-baby.  Amazing eyes and cheeks, those blonde lashes and long brows.  I even love his serious looks.  Not all shots have to be smiles, folks, but (insert happy dance here) I did manage to catch a couple 😉

Charlie and I go way back.  I’ve been taking his portraits since he was just a newborn and he’ll be TWO this July.  Boy, how time flies, right? This is our session from earlier today–thankfully we had some gorgeous weather.  I got to try out some new props and adorable new hats that I recently picked up at Mulberry Road in Boston.  These are Knuckleheads and Little Lids Vintage.  I am LOVING them!  Hats add such a great flair to portraits so my collection is getting very big!  Here are some sneak peaks for you, K!

Izzie Willie Nillie.  I read that book back in high school and for some reason the name just sorta stuck with me all these years.  This little darling named Isabelle, or Izzie for short, was my lovely subject this morning.  3 months old and a whole lot of smiles–well, for the most part.  We got  handful of shots in before it was time for a cat nap.  Even my trusty fur rug made her only so happy for a short while before the tears came.  I couldn’t tell if was because I had totally lost my charm (nah), the large honkin’ lens in her face (mmm, maybe) or just because she was tired (yep).  It turned out that a good hour nap set her straight for the remainder of our shoot.  Bam!  It was all smiles after that!  I spent my time well shopping at Mulberry Road in Boston while the little lass caught some zzzzz’s and picked up some great hats for my son (that he will refuse to wear, but cute nonetheless) and some adorable diaper covers for some upcoming shoots.  Here are some shots from today.

Meet Andrew.  9 days old.  This little guy is a such a beautiful baby!  We would have done this shoot a couple of days ago, as you know I like to do all of my newborn shoots 7 days and younger, however he was a bit jaundiced so we waited it out.  He wasn’t looking like a “glow worm” as his parents had warned which is a good thing! 🙂  He fought going to sleep but he did finally give in to my rocking, patting and shhhhshing.  And because he wasn’t a real deeeeeeep sleeper I was limited in how much I could maneuver and pose him–however I did get some really adorable shots and I am really pleased.  I hope his parents are too!  Here’s a little peak at today’s session.
