Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits : Boston Newborn Photographer, Boston Children's Photographer, Boston Family Photographer, Boston Maternity Photographer

Just a quick note here….I am gearing up for a really busy week and won’t have time for any personal posts so I wanted to share this image that was taken last night on our point.  I had been photographing my husband’s cousin’s children and after our session my son ran out to say he wanted to “take pictures”.  This is a first since normally when my camera comes out he runs in the other direction.  I know this is not uncommon for children of photographers :-).  So off to the point we go.  He has been potty trained for about a month now.  It sort of happened overnight and we’ve only had a few accidents–even diaperless at night!  But last night we didn’t make in time to pull off his pants and he got a bit soaked so off came the clothes and we had toddler-au-natural.  It was priceless…..

Christine DeSavino - This is absolutely gorgeous, Stephanie. I love it!

It’s been raining.  A lot.  And by that I mean almost everyday.  It’s becoming the norm and that’s very depressing.  But what can make a rainy day a lot brighter is getting to photograph babies.  This little guy was my little ray of sunshine today.  I didn’t get to meet his older brother, whom I was told can really make his little brother turn inside out with laughter.  He was off at toddler summer camp  today but I hope I get the chance to meet him real soon.  So these are for you, Mom!  A little sneak peak of your youngest little man.  Enjoy!

Meredith - The look, appearance & expression in each picture of this baby is so different, I can only think of one word; “chameleon.”
The “retro” treatment of the last one is perfect.
Amazing, Stephanie ….. Kudos to you ….

Yes, it’s an in-between age.  One that can be a tad challenging to photograph.  It’s between the uber-sleepy newborn stage and the super-smiley 3 month age and you never know if you’ll get smiles OR any neck strength.  But this little one was up for the challenge.  She raised her head like a champ!  On top of that she was cute as a button.  I asked mom if she had any knitted hats on hand and, voila, she appears with the cutest hand knitted cap–with the knitting needles still attached.  She says, “let me just tie it off”.  I’m so jealous!  I took some knitting lessons back in February and I was apparently a “natural” and a “quick learner” but I haven’t done anything since.  Oh, all the nice yarn I have sitting in my knitting bag!  Ho hum.  Anyway, the baby conked out about half way through our shoot but that was totally fine for me since I just adore sleeping shots of babies.  Here’s a sneak peak for her doting parents!  Enjoy 🙂

    Traci - Absolutely precious Stephanie.

Today I met Cassie and her momma at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA.  It wasn’t my first time meeting this little munchkin.  As a matter of fact, I had the pleasure of photographing her when she was just about 2 weeks old.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day (finally) and after 2 postponed shoot days because of the rain we finally had a chance to meet up and do her 1st year portraits.  We had a lot of on-looker’s ooh’ing and aah’ing about how adorable she was in the Matilda Jane dress as we set up her cupcake shot.  I had grand plans for some balloon shots, too, but unfortunately the breeze blew the 11 away that we weren’t using at the time!  Oh, well….but it sure was pretty to watch them float up-up-up-and-away.  Here are some cute shots from this morning, the first being my absolute fav!!

Eileen Mendelsohn - What could be cuter–my Angel Baby, in a beautiful field, eating cupcakes. You definitely captured her beauty and personality.
    Cassie’s proud Grandma

It happened really fast so I wanted to let you those of you who are interested in booking sessions that I am booked until August.  It’s that time of year that everybody wants to do their sessions so you must act quickly!  If you are pregnant, due in June/July and are interested in booking a newborn session, please contact me directly to see if I can squeeze you in anywhere.  Also thinking ahead for those of you who are interested in booking early and late fall shoots for holiday cards, my last booking this year will be November 15th.  Ok, now that all the busines stuff has been addressed let’s get to the fun stuff.  This little girl was such a blast to photograph.  She is quite the little fashionista so she was in all her glory when I pulled some Matilda Jane clothing out of my wardrobe stash!  It was probably as much fun for me to dress her up as it was for her.  Dressing my son can be fun but for the most part I find boy’s clothing soooo boring!  Anyone with me on that?!  I digress…here are fun shots from our shoot.
