I’m sure I’m not the only one complaining about this weather but, MAN, it’s really been messing up my shooting schedule.  I feel like we are back in our soggy month of May, or was it June, when it rained all but 3 days.  Craziness!!  I had a shoot this afternoon with twins who just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago- finally after having to reschedule muliple times because of the weather.  I have to give major kudos to all of you moms of multiples.  Seriously, I don’t know how you do it.  I promise, I will try to never complain again about being a mother to one…well, for at least 8 more weeks until #2 comes along! 🙂  It wasn’t my first time meeting these little ones.  They modeled some “Binky Bling” last winter when I was featuring Mamapreneuers on my blog.  I will start featuring all you fabulous moms again starting in January or February!  We went over outfits and then headed down the street to my new favorite shooting locale.  It was very chilly so the smiles turned to frowns after about an hour and a half so we wrapped it up, wrapped them up and called it a day.

Even tho

Even tho' she had many smiling ones, I just love her serious face here!

Lucky for me, I have a beautiful place to shoot just up the street from our new house.  It’s the place where I recently captured my favorite shot to date of my son.  It still makes my heart leap every time I look at that photo.  My sister and her family came down for a visit to have their yearly portraits done.  Normally, I head to NH and make a weekend out of it but this year the kids’ schedules are so jam packed on the weekends that she figured it’d be easier to come to me when they had some free time.  Lucky for us, we had the most gorgeous day today.  Some of my other clients have not been so lucky–what is UP with this weather anyway??  So we headed down to the end of the road, enjoyed the quick walk, a pretty view of the lake and some ducks along the way.  Can’t wait to see you all again at Thanksgiving!!   xoxoxo

Lisa - Amazing. Beautiful. Thank you so much for your time, energy, effort and love. Capturing these moments for us is greatly appreciated and cherished.

Three girls!  What’s the perfect recipe for that?  I’m on boy #2 so if you have any tricks or tips let me know! Like here are top 9 best car seats recommended. However, I’m not sure 3 kids is my future 😉  I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family two other times and I was so excited to hear that they were expecting baby girl #3.  I’ve had a lot of boy newborns lately and the girl newborn hats have been piling up so I was doubly excited to try out my new props.  If only I kept up with the knitting I started learning in February–it’d probably be saving me some cash!  The main focus today was, of course, the newborn but while she was getting her belly full I just had to take some shots of the big sisters alone.  They were such great listeners–so thank YOU girls for making my job so easy today.  And little Gigi, as her next biggest sister calls her, did soooo well.  After a few snack feedings she was out like a light and I was able to mold and fold her any which way I wanted.  Which is the way I like it.  Enjoy!

    melissa - Beautiful images!

This little guy, Max, came into the world 9 days ago–5 days earlier than expected.  His mom tells me he has his nights and days mixed up which is pretty typical for newborns.  I think back and now I realize how lucky I was with my first.  He was a fabulous sleeper.  He seemed to sleep all day and even after the multiple night feedings he was right back to bed!  Let’s see what #2 has in store for me this December!  Apparently Max decided to sleep more than usual last night despite his momma’s attempt to keep him somewhat awake so that he slept, for sure, for our session.  Well…..that didn’t happen!  Even at only 9 days he didn’t want to sleep much at all, only a few winks here and there.  After about 4 1/2 hours I think we were all “max’d” out and decided that it was time to really let the little guy sleep and get this new mom some rest as well.  He slept the entire afternoon after I left, right?! 😉  Enjoy!!

Charlotte Leonard - This is my first time on your site! I have to say your photography is beautiful 🙂 I love the blue hat strings shot!

I have one word for you: CREWCUTS.  No, not the hairstyle but the store.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, it’s the kids shop within J. Crew and it is amazing.  Yes, it can be a little pricey but it’s really worth it especially when you are preparing for a photo shoot.  Remember that these images last a lifetime and what you wear really makes an impact.  This mom, a fashionista herself, really prepared for this shoot and when she told me that she had been shopping Crewcuts and they were ready to “knock my socks off”, she wasn’t wrong!  As I pulled up, I could see three little kids all perfectly dressed waiting for my arrival on their front lawn.  I was beyond excited to see their attire; layers, textures, patterns, prints, hats, tights, the whole sha-bang!  I also came very prepared with a SUV full of props.  I felt like I was getting ready for a flea market as I unloaded everything on their lawn, their little eyes watching me all the while.  I also brought some of my new Matilda Jane “Gypsy Blue” clothes because I knew I had some clothes in size 4 that would fit one of the girls.  I was so excited that she agreed to model it for me and even more excited with the shot I captured.  Despite some tears, bitten fingers, pushes and falls I think the kids had a good time.  I had a great time meeting all of you and http://topbestwatchbrands.com/best-watches-under-200-dollars/ !  Enjoy 🙂
