Wow.  This kid can move!  15 months old and he wanted nothing more than to not be in front of my camera 🙂  He’s got to be the cutest tippy-toe runner I’ve ever met.  I had a session with Jackson last year when he was just 6 days old and all I could do was gush about what a gorgeous baby he was.  He’s turned into a dashing little boy with striking blue eyes.  It’s really so great to see my clients grow up!  Mom’s been through a lot this past year and I have to say that her positive attitude is contagious.  You are beautiful, Jane!  You have a glow to you and I love the new ‘do!!

Jane Farrington - Thank you so much, Stephanie! You are an amazing artist and we feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be in front of your lens!

Meet Alex, 7 days old.  Beautiful.  Tiny.  So precious.  I did a session with her big sis (18 months older) last year.  I was so happy to hear from mom last week asking to do this newborn session, and surprised to hear that another munchkin would be joining their family.  We shot at their home; a stunning 130 year old colonial with huge welcoming rooms.  I ooh’ed and ahh’ed over it all.  I’m just a sucker for old homes with all those details; built-in’s, walk-in’s, the huge windows, the intricate moldings… It’s a beauty, for sure.  I really wanted to take pictures of the interior but I figured they would have thought that was pretty creepy 🙂  Anyway, I used some of the same blankets/wraps that I used for her sister and thought it’d be cool to shoot them with Alex.  Also a 4-up just like big sis too!  Enjoy! xoxo

Seven days old.  It seems like forever ago that my little one was so newly born.  It flies by–in an instant.  Cherish this time that you have with your babies because they aren’t babies for long.  Soon they will be smiling, laughing, sitting, talking, walking….{sigh}.  Nina was a sweet little thing for me today.  Very patient through the 4 hours (yes, 4) of me moving and manuevering and never once became fussy.  Mom was cool as a cucumber and as beautiful as she was sweet.  Actually, stunning would be more the word.  It was a pleasure to meet you all today and thanks for letting me bring my assistant 😉  I think I may have to hire one after today!  xoxo

"Dad, please...pretty please??!?!"

um, hello, can you say gorgeous??

brooke - These are perfection! I love the soft feel to them. SO, SO gorgeous!

Romper stomper, bomper boo (is this aging me?)…tell me, tell me, tell me do!  Rompers are all the rage, or so says my 13 year old neice who is in my care while my sister and brother in law are touring Italy (um, can you say jealous??!)  Anyway, being the good aunt that I am, I knew I wanted to treat her to a couple of rompers take home.  What REALLY aged me (not singing Romper Room) was going into Abercrombie & Fitch and finding the music too loud, the perfume too strong and everything WAY TOO SMALL.  Not too good for the ol’ ego if ya know what I mean.  We did find this amazing little blue & white romper and current as it is, I find it very vintage as well.  I knew I wanted to photograph her in it and channeled a bit of Maxwell Parish’s “Stars” painting.  I adore these shots of her.  She really is growing up before me eyes.  xoxo

Becky - Wow! That first picture is so gorgeous!

Rays from the morning sun
cast their gentle warmth
showing all the beauty and
splendor of a new day

The cerulean sky reflects
a mirror image of tranquility.
Peace and quiet
Even the fish have gone fishing…

Getting lost in moments as these
makes life worthwhile. We live
for today. Yesterday is a memory
and tomorrow a dream.
