Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits : Boston Newborn Photographer, Boston Children's Photographer, Boston Family Photographer, Boston Maternity Photographer

I met Leila two years ago when she was just 3 months old.  She was a little peanut who looked deep into my camera lens with big, beautiful, curious eyes.  Fast forward 2 years and I’m greeted at the door by an adorable 2 year old with soft blonde curls eager to introduce me to her new baby sister.   Paulina turned 7 days old today and even though we had it nice and toasty for her she decided that sleep wasn’t really in her agenda this morning.  Instead, with her big curious eyes, she took it all in and enjoyed the love and kisses from her sister.

and this is lil’ miss leila at 3 months….

    Yvonne Niemann - Pure sweetness. You really got some great images of the sisters together!

I’ve been sittin’ on these images for over a week, which for me is a long time, and I’ve been dying to share them.  I shoot and I blog–it’s just the way I like to do it.  It’s sort of an addiction and my husband can vouch.  I come back from a shoot, the card goes into the reader and I start editing almost immediately.  I have to see what I captured.  I just have to.  I’m working with an extremely talented coat designer, Little Goodall, out of TX.  My first glimpse of her creations was in my daily email from Etsy.  I saw the fox coat and within minutes I was emailing her to ask about photographing her coats.  This was the coat that caught my eye the most, as well as her other animal inspired outerwear.  Since I have a size 4 model at my disposal, I knew that with just a bit a lot of bribing I’d be able to finagle him into it and down to the spot by our lake that I had been eying for this particular shot for weeks upon weeks.  The concept was to head to the lake at sunset, have him stand on a peninsula and conjure up as much Max attitude as possible.  But tempers were running short and I bagged the lake idea and just took him to the wooded area out back.  Sadly, it continued to eat at me–that concept of mine.  So, the following day I got him excited about mommy’s new idea, threw on the coat and headed down to that very special spot.  You can see what a difference it makes.  While the first set of photos are great, the session by the lake at sunset really sets a different tone.  And for the record I know it’s a fox coat and that Max wore a wolf suit but to me it just worked! 🙂  Enjoy!  xoxo

and now the lake concept…..

let the wild rumpus begin....

    kids fall fashion : boston children’s photographer - Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits - […] for some time now–I even did a shoot with my son in early 2011 for Molly.  You can see that here!  I don’t know if the kids enjoyed modeling more or the fact that they got to miss a little […]

Oh, dear baby Simone!  She kept me smiling and my heart full through the entire session.  Just a tiny little thing–born 2 weeks early at 5 lbs 1 oz.  She is one of the smallest babies I’ve photographed and the smiliest!  99% of my business is word of mouth and referrals and my client is a dear friend of another fabulous client of mine (sessions here, here and here!).  They grew up together and are still best friends.  In fact, their mom’s are best friends, too, which is how this all came to be.  Looks like Nina & Simone will be friends for life as well.  It was a joy to meet you, baby girl!  xoxo

    Jan Crawford - The little girl is precious and the outfit is amazing. Fit for Suri Cruise!

I had such a great morning with these two!  Kiely was not shy at all greeted me at the top of the mudroom stairs with her pink tutu, pink shirt and pink headband.  I wore my sequin shirt because I had a feeling this soon-to-be 4 year old was gonna be a girly girl–and that she was!  While this was predominantly a session for the baby, Brayden was fast asleep so I decided to have some fun with the little miss in her beautiful, and oh-so-girly, pink & apple green room.  I really love getting one on one time with children during my sessions.  I feel that the children are less anxious and self-conscious and can really let go and be themselves.  I also enjoy getting them to do things that they really aren’t allowed to do–at least not on a daily basis–as it let’s the pure emotion flow.  Brayden was just one big smile paired with inquisitive looks.  Pretty darn cute, if you ask me!!  Enjoy! xoxo

And the more serious side of Ms. Fancy Pants…I had to read her the book, upside down no less 😉

And her little brother….um, can you be any cuter??
