Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits : Boston Newborn Photographer, Boston Children's Photographer, Boston Family Photographer, Boston Maternity Photographer

I am so excited to share this beautiful maternity session!  What’s better than a stunning & radiant momma-to be, gorgeous light to work with despite a gray and rainy day, a well appointed home and an oh-so-dear fur baby that completely stole my heart.  I have such a soft spot for animals and this 14 year old Australian Shepard was just a complete love who utterly adores his momma!  I wanted to scoop him up and take him home with me but I know that he has plans to protect the baby girl that is on her way in just 6 short weeks.  Thanks for a wonderful morning!  Enjoy!  xoxo

She stenciled this wall behind her!  Amazing!!

And one more cuz he is just the sweetest!!!

    Melissa M. - Gorgeous!

It’s been a hell of a week.  Hurricane Irene wreaked havoc on our yard and left us without power for 4 days.  The first day is the hardest.  No computer, no internet, no lights or hot water.  You are forced into a getting-back-to-basics mind frame.  Early to bed, maybe even catching up on a book you’ve neglected.  It forced me to completely unplug from my business which is never an easy thing to do.  Even when I’m “not-working” and with my kids my mind is constantly going to back to my t0-do list of the endless things that can and need to be done.  It’s a constant.  But for a few days I felt like what it would be like if I could just focus on my kids.  There was less frustration, less fighting, because mommy was fully present.  It’s a tough balance and sometimes it can feel like you’re totally failing even though everyone always asks, “How do you do it all?”  Well, sometimes it can wear on you.  Mentally and emotionally.  Sometimes you just need a break from everything and everyone.  In July I found myself feeling this way so I escaped back home to spend some time reconnecting with my kids and getting some good ol’ Vermont and NH summer air in my lungs.  It was just what the doctor ordered.  Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!  xoxo

but hey, unplugging for a few days, is a good thing for all of us. but i kind of like the idea of it being a choice, not forced upon us due to something like irene. darn irene.

Kristen - This is lovely and a beautiful breath of fresh air for so many reasons! xo

Many of you who follow my blog know that I love photographing my niece.  I was lucky enough to have her spend a good amount of time with us a couple of times this summer.  Not only is she my little muse, my kids adore her and she was my trusty assistant on a few shoots!  My sister wanted to do a mother & daughter shoot and we planned it for when she would be picking Rachel up from her visit.  I had an idea that I wanted  her in a lace dress, sort of a nod to a vintage wedding dress–which turned out to be not very different from the one my mother was married in.  Beyond the shots of the two of them I captured some really lovely images of just my sister in all her beauty.  Enjoy Lisa!  I love you! xoxo

Amy Lucy - What gorgeous women! Wow. Your sis looks absolutely amazing in that dress. Love the ones with the two of them together.

I had a very sweet family session last month.  Ya know the kind where the laughter is infectious and the love is palpable?  Yep.  That kind.  Family sandwiches are their specialty–and those sandwiches insight lots of smiles and laughter.  You can’t fake this kind of happiness.  Keep that in mind for YOUR future session.  Just let go and be YOU–silliness and all!!  I had a ton of fun fishing with Grady and letting him try to splash me.  I think he most enjoyed my beloved turquoise vintage tricycle and drawing with chalk on the street 🙂   Enjoy!!  xoxoxo
