Nicole - Hey Stephanie. I was wondering what software you used to put your video clips together. I love to do it with my family videos but for some reason it doesn’t show full screen like yours is! It looks lovely! hoping you can point me in the right directions. THANKS

It’s a session like this that fills me up and literally makes my heart skip a beat.  When two creative minds come together it can produce breathtaking results.  As such, when Mariah Gale, a local photographer, contacted me last summer to photograph her I was a) instantly flattered that she thought of me and b) really excited about where we could take this shoot.  The theme was “vintage sailboat” and after many ideas fluttering back and forth over email and exchanges shared through Pinterest, the shoot began to take shape.  Unfortunately, a hurricane in the forecast had other plans for us and the boats were taken out of the marina and the shoot postponed.  Fast forward 10 months and we rescheduled the shoot on her birthday–as she couldn’t think of another better way to spend it.  The weather was divine, the location spectacular, and with the help of super stylist, Caitlin Murphy, the look was beautifully brought to fruition.  Mariah was insanely good in front of the camera.  I didn’t shut up the entire time about how amazing she was.  And least I forget her dashing man, Dan, who undoubtedly played the part to a “T”.   Thank you for making this so incredible!!  xoxo

I’m a little late jumping on the bandwagon but I joined Instagram late 2010 and not until recently have I become sort of infatuated with it.  It’s a fun way to chronicle the everyday in photos.  You can follow me @bellinipics

See you there!

diana - don’t you have a facebook page? it would be so much easier to follow you 🙂

I’ve been a little MIA as I’ve sort of mandated some time off for my myself this summer.  It’s been wonderful and relaxing spending time by the beach.  However, my urge to create is ever present and I am always anxious to get back to work. Here is a session with 7 day old Jackson shot back in May–such a beautiful baby boy and his momma as pretty as can be.  We did a maternity session last year for her first and this makes her boys just 15 months apart.  I’m exhausted just thinking about wrangling two little ones so close in age. Kudos and much respect for those that do it!  Enjoy!

audra bender - second one, said “ahhhhhh” outloud….♥♥♥

Hi all! I have been taking a nice break with the family for the 4th so I have been a little MIA from my blog and Facebook. So to keep it alive I wanted to share with you again my session last year with photographer Heidi Hope from RI shot July 2011. I thought it would be fun to share what I was up to a year ago! I have three sessions with other fab photographers coming up in August and September! In the meantime…..have a fabulous weekend!

“I’m not sure the feeling will ever change. The feeling when another photographer contacts you to take their family portraits (gulp). If you follow my blog you may remember my post last October when Elise Donoghue asked me to photograph her family. I was excited and a nervous wreck all balled into one. But at the end of the day it was an amazing experience and I walked away from it feeling empowered and thrilled to know how happy I had made her. Tears of joy from any client is ALWAYS a good thing!! Double bonus: we have become great friends! When Heidi contacted me in December about photographing her family I had the same feeling but this time I knew that the nervous feeling was actually a good thing. It keeps you in check and on your toes. When you lose those butterflies I think you can become complacent and your work can become a bit lack lustre. I had an idea that I’d been wanting to implement for some time. A ripped out page from one of my old Cookie magazines–remember that one, so good, and so sad it’s gone–had sat quietly in a folder of other inspirational images for a few years. It was a model with her son in a Valentino dress; red, diaphanous, long and beautiful. Her little boy was under the many layers and he peeked he head from one of the drapey, crepe-like sheets of red. I knew I wanted to try this with Heidi and her 3 year old daughter. And so began the hunt for the perfect dress. Nothing was coming up quite like the Valentino number (yeah, go figure) but I did happen upon something even more adorable on Etsy. Luckily for us it was the right size, Heidi loved it, and she snagged it up. We started in one of my favorite fields at sunset for some beautiful family shots and then zoomed down to the Cape for the whimsical dress shots. It was an amazing experience! Heidi, it was such a pleasure getting to know you and you gorgeous family and lucky for me I feel I’ve made yet another friend who just happens to be another portrait photographer like myself. Enjoy!! xoxoxo”

heidi - I love these even more today! G looks so young in all of them.. *sigh*. They turn into big kids so fast, don’t they?! Thank you again for such beautiful portraits. I think we’ll have to do it again when G #2 is a little bigger! xoxo

Taryn Boyd - OMG!!!!! How beautiful are these!?! I didn’t see them the first time around. Kinda obsessed with her dress in the second set and your use of the light with it. You’re a genius. SIGH.
