I am in love with these horse images taken by Eye Poetry Photography. When I saw the first shot of the group of wild horses running I knew I had to have it.  I had it printed 20 x 20 on fine art paper.  When I decided on where we’d wind up hanging it, I then knew I needed a complimentary one on the adjacent wall basically to book end our sliding doors in our family room.  The blue sky in the single shot of that majestic beauty really works well with the new blue drapes we got (yeah, finally! it only took us 3 1/2 years to do it).  If you love horses you will love these prints.  Check Irene’s work out here.  The next one I’ve got my eye on is the shot of the hot air balloons over Paris!  Enjoy!

Are you there, Blog?  It’s me, Stephanie.  (Remember that, Ladies?)  I have sorely mistreated you by being such a fair weather friend.  There was a time when we visited  3 or 4 times a week and now I’m lucky if we visit once a week….oh hell, maybe it’s once every two weeks.  Fact is, I really did find such joy and peace in posting and for some reason life has got in the way and I have not been able to post as much as I’d like.  There is so much to keep up on I feel that with the mountain of sessions to blog and things I want to say and share I just don’t know where to begin.  But today I felt that it was time to blow off the dust and post something new.  I really do hope I can keep up with it and hope it’s not a dying trend.  So, let’s begin, shall we?….Back in August I had the opportunity to photograph baby Lucy and her big sister, Brooke.  It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day “down the cape” and even though Lucy was pushing the “prime” newborn of 5-10 days (3 weeks, gasp) she did BEAUTIFULLY for me!  Chalk it up to the warm, humid air and full tummy and it was a breeze.  In between feedings I did capture some of big sis alone which I think made her feel super special.  So here’s to a pre-new year’s resolution of being more present on line…..Enjoy! xoxoxo

brooke - These are perfection at it’s finest. These kids are so, so adorable!

This series of images almost never happened.  You see, I had a wonderful shoot with a family last week.  It’s been in the works for months.  We decided to push the shoot to the fall versus the summer and in the interim had to postpone because of rain.  I was really looking forward to working with them as they had a fabulous vintage truck we could use as a prop–something I have always wanted!  We decided that we would also use the beach by their home as a second location.  I had visions of it in my mind and indeed it all truly came to fruition.  But as we wrapped it up, with sand in my boots and in my hair, I realized that my favorite hat that I wanted her to wear had been forgotten.  Even though she was ready to call it a day, she obliged and let me spend another 5 minutes photographing her.  That’s all it took.  And it was magic.  In a split second decision to ask her to do it for me versus my indecisiveness–that jerky back and forth decision “should I, can I, will I”  and then not moving forward with something you know will rock you to your core???  This time I listened to my heart and did it.  And this is what happened.  Purely selfish on my part and I enjoyed every single minute.  It filled me up.   This is what shooting for me looks like.  So, listen to your heart.  Shoot for you.  Enjoy. xoxo  boston childrens photographer

    Taryn Boyd - Beautiful! Stunning!

I am going to have to break this session up into multiple blog posts because there’s just so much to cover off on!  Let’s start with these beautiful twin girls!  Mom is as gorgeous as they come.  The sort of prettiness that makes you wish you were wearing a turtleneck so you could pull it up over your head–yeah, she’s that stunning.  AND as sweet as she is pretty with a voice to match.  Dad is no slouch either AND is pretty well known in these parts….he plays short stop for the Boston Red Sox!  Their big sister who we will see in the next blog post is surely on her way to Hollywood.  Such a personality and a lil’ beauty, herself.   So let’s start with the peach and berry picnic I set up for them!  It’s nice to give the lil’ ones something to keep focused on instead of running in the opposite direction of my camera.  I can still hear mom singing behind me, “There’s a party in my tummy, so yummy, so yummy!”  Enjoy! xo

and a preview of what’s to come….
