Bellini Portraits » Bellini Portraits : Boston Newborn Photographer, Boston Children's Photographer, Boston Family Photographer, Boston Maternity Photographer

I don’t think it will never *not* be nerve wracking when a photographer calls me to photograph their family.  All the insecurities come rushing in.  Will I connect with them?  Will I be a buffoon?  Will they even like the photos????  Ahhhhh!

A photographer’s photographer.  Because we can’t always use a tripod or rely on the hubs to get photos of ourselves with the kids.  We, photographers, need one.  I hope one of these days I hire one myself,  push my own insecurities aside and practice what I preach to other moms out there–GET IN THE PHOTOS WITH YOUR FAMILY!!!

Meet Gena, a fellow photographer living in Hong Kong.  She found me on a FB group for a workshop we both attended separately.  Just as it had when other photographers reached out, my heart fluttered a little when she asked to book me for family photos while she was back in the states.  The feeling reminds me of how I felt playing tennis in high school, the nerves turn into a rush and I just get lost in the moment.  We had a gorgeous sunset a long with a stunning moment of horses walking through the water.  Each time I went back to the beach I hoped I’d run into these girls so I could get their info and pass along the image of them.  I did finally late last fall.  They were shocked and thrilled that I remembered them and that I was so excited to share this with them.

Now’s the time to start thinking about your spring or summer sessions!  Email anytime for more information on how to book your family portraits!

Enjoy! xoxo

You know me and my love for little red heads…..boy was I excited to see this face!

Happy Monday!  I’m an auntie again!  My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last Wednesday and I’m already so in love with her!  This is her third and final.  Bittersweet to say the least.  I know how she feels and other mothers out there can relate.  It’s the closing of a chapter in a woman’s life; pregnancy and that fleeting time with a newborn.  They say the days are long but the years are short and as my kids have gotten older this rings so true.  It really is a time to embrace and hold fast to the memories of these little humans we hold so dear.

This little one is the first for this new family.  Tucker was a few weeks old when I finally got to meet him.  Lifestyle newborn sessions can take place anytime within the first 4 weeks after the baby is born unlike studio sessions which are time sensitive and limited to babies under 14 days old.  If you are in Boston or the surrounding areas and are looking for a newborn photographer you can call or email anytime for more information on how to book your session.

Enjoy! xoxo

Happy  Wednesday!  Waking up with so many things to be thankful for including this gorgeous 70 degree day and the fact that my sister welcomed her third child into the world this morning.  I am giddy and cannot wait to meet her!  One more little one to spoil with affection!

I’ve been a bit delayed in getting dates posted for my Mommy & Me Studio Minis, which will also be offered as Maternity mini sessions.  I will be doing them next month and will get the dates and times posted asap!  Promise.

In the meantime I wanted to share this family beach portrait session from last summer.  While it’s not traditional to do 1st birthday cake smashes on the sand, I find it a refreshing change to the studio styles that are generally offered.  That being said, if studio is what you might be more inclined to book, I would be happy discuss that option as well.  Feel free to email [ info@bellinipics.com ] or call anytime [ 6 1 7. 5 1 3. 2 3 2 7 ] for more info!

Enjoy! xoxo

Here we are–it’s the end of February.  I always have good intentions of using these slower winter months to get completely organized and caught up business wise.  Somehow I manage to only do about 30% of what I originally set out to accomplish.   I find that the busier I am the more focused I become and vice versa.  I definitely work better under pressure, anyone else?

I’m a fickle girl and tend to outgrow things quickly so one thing I wanted to do was give my website a face lift.  With that little project behind me know I can focus on some personal projects.  I meant to inform everyone via newsletter that I am renting a studio (!) through the end of May.  I’m pretty excited to flex some creative muscles and try new things–studio maternity, boudoir, and editorial.  There’s a good possibility I might offer some Easter & Mother’s Day STUDIO minis so stay tuned for that information!

As for blogging….I am still 10 months behind.

This is Summer and her adoring parents, shot May of 2015.  They were scheduled to leave the US and back home overseas once dad’s school program ended and wanted a session to remember this special place Summer called home for 11 months.  It was a cool but beautiful night and we had the beach ALL to ourselves.  Always a plus.

Now is the time to start thinking about your beach portrait session.  Whether it’s late spring, mid summer or early fall we will start the session one hour prior to sunset.  Keeping that in mind for your little ones and bedtimes, the later in the year the earlier we shoot.  Email or call anytime for for more information on booking your family portrait session!

Enjoy! xo
