bed.

I feel like I’ve been out of touch with the world.  And I kind of have.  I’ve been in bed for a week straight.  What started as a pesky knot in my back last Monday slowly worsened to the point that I couldn’t move my head and had excruciating pain in my neck and back.  I’ve been to my doctor, the emergency room, a physical therapist, had an MRI and then a follow up with my doctor and it turns out that I have two bulging discs in my neck; C5/C6 and C6/7.  I have an appointment with an orthopedist tomorrow and I’ll have more info on the real prognosis.  Good news is that I’m feeling better since yesterday.  I had way more mobility and I felt human again.  I think I may have even smiled :-).  Truth be told, my gut tells me that I’ll be back on my feet in no time with continued physical therapy and learning new ways to keep myself stretched and aligned properly.  So that being said my shoots are temporarily on hold.  It’s kind of a good thing it’s happening now instead of mid summer when I’m shooting 5 days a week.  I anticipate that I will shoot again by mid-April.  That gives me ample time to rest; something I never really let myself do but how can I as a mother of 2 little boys?  There really is no time for that!  Anyway, it’s been eating at me that my blog has been untouched for a week so instead of posting something green for St. Patty’s Day, I thought it would be fun to have a “bed” theme.  Here are some shots that involve a bed; some out takes, some not, some pulled from two years ago and some more recent, some technically spot on and others that are perfectly imperfect.  It makes me feel a little vulnerable adding older session images since I feel I have grown so much creatively and technically since then but I guess I don’t mind so much.  It’s me.  It’s who I was and who I’ve become as an “artist”.  Time has brought tremendous growth and I am proud of that.  There.  I said it.  I should add that I LOOOOOVE shooting on clients’ beds especially when they have gorgeous interiors and pretty bedding.  So don’t think I’m weird when I get to your house and ask to see your bedroom 😉  Enjoy. (**edited all on my laptop so they could look horrendous on a regular monitor, hoping not!)
