Your work always amazes me!! You do magic with light!! I love how safely you pose your newborns.:))) How do you always find these great clients with beautiful homes? ;) By the way, what lens did you use for this session?

Ruthie - September 4, 2012 - 11:35 am

What a wonderful session! The lighting, the color, the family– all magic.

I esp. love the middle picture of the sleeping newborn. It reminds me of a mermaid.

I’m curious about the bottles filled with sand on the shelf. Any idea the story behind the bottles? Are they collected from different beaches that they’ve visited as a family? Any idea where the mom got those bottles? I’m thinking of doing something similar for our various beach vacations.

Taryn Boyd - September 3, 2012 - 9:01 am

ella

Meet Ella.  Thirteen days old and quite possibly the most alert newborn I have photographed to date!  She followed me with her eyes with every move I made…it was really remarkable!  This is a great example of an “environmental” newborn shoot that focused less on the posed beanbag shots and more about interaction with family...

sweet elise

I was recently contacted my a mother of a 3 week old baby girl.  She didn’t realize that newborn sessions are best booked before the baby is born and that the optimal time to photograph newborns is between 5-10 days old.  I explained that to the lovely woman on the other end of the phone...
