I am in my car a lot–whether it’s driving to shoots, running errands (going to the grocery store 3 or 4 times a week is not uncommon) or just driving to enjoy my surroundings. I always keep on the look out for interesting things to photograph, making a mental note to come back if I don’t have my camera with me. I am drawn to older places; homes from centuries past, old gas stations, anything abandoned and overgrown with trees and weeds. Not your typical “beauty” but I find that there is just so much character in these places that it’s hard to not find them beautiful. It’s a sharp contrast from what I am normally shooting; happy, beautiful babies, children and families. I’ve also been very bad keeping up with Project 365 but promised myself I wouldn’t beat myself up about it. These shots I will include within my original project. They are from this week during my mom and niece’s visit.
