For fun, I’ve posted some images below that I shot 4 years ago (2/9/08) with some editing.  Coming originally from a film background, during the 1st year and early 2nd year in business I didn’t really use Photoshop to process my digital images (gasp) and presented many SOOC (double gasp),  some with only slight levels adjustments.   What you shot with film is what you got.  Well, since then I have spent hundreds of hours on forums, thousands on workshops and continue to educate myself–daily.  What better way to improve your images than from somebody you trust?  I wish I had the plethora of resources 5 years ago that are readily available for all of you new, aspiring photographers.  Take advantage and join me in March.  Hope to see you there! ]]> http://bellinipics.com/blog/archives/3913/feed 2 fa-la-la-la fall http://bellinipics.com/blog/archives/3501 http://bellinipics.com/blog/archives/3501#comments Tue, 06 Dec 2011 17:57:52 +0000 admin http://bellinipics.com/blog/?p=3501 It’s December 6th and I’m still blogging fall sessions!  Ahhhh!  I really want to start posting holiday images, ideas, decorations, songs, etc etc, but I’m kind of anal when it comes to blogging and like to keep it neat and orderly meaning I blog in chronological order–or as close to as possible!  I met these boys last year on a small farm for our session.  It was fuh-fuh-fuh-freezing that day so I was happy that mom scheduled an early fall session this year.  The foliage was looking beautiful and the boys were very excited to see me.  Great start!  I made them homemade bow and arrows, a set for both.  Unfortunately one broke about 2 minutes into the session, so we scratched that idea and then just had fun and goofed around.  What I couldn’t get over was how much mom looks like one of my best friends.  It is really uncanny!!  I didn’t notice last year because she wore sunglasses for the session but when I walked into their home this year it hit me like a ton of bricks!  Wow, wow, wow!!  Doppelganger!!  So here we go….enjoy! xo

]]> http://bellinipics.com/blog/archives/3501/feed 3 alex and allison http://bellinipics.com/blog/archives/3306 http://bellinipics.com/blog/archives/3306#comments Fri, 04 Nov 2011 01:29:24 +0000 admin http://bellinipics.com/blog/?p=3306 She had me at seven acre farm….yes, her sister has a 7 acre farm and we were gonna shoot there.  Ok, twist my arm.  Throw in gorgeous afternoon light, blueberry bush leaves that were starting to turn with autumn’s cooler temps, a gorgeous barn and I’m in photographer’s nirvana.  Alex & Allison are a bit older than my normal client.  Nope, I couldn’t mold them into oh-so-adorable squishy newborn yoga poses and couldn’t make em coo and ahh with a silly face.  Hell, my fart jokes just sort of slid by without even a wince (insert crickets here).  No, these kids were mature for their 9 and 7 years but they did break loose and have some fun.  These kids are well spoken, intelligent, talented, young inviduals and I so enjoyed spending that October 7th afternoon with them.  I loved that at the last minute as we combed the house for any last minute prop additions of their own we decided to bring along their violins.  An unexpected but very thrilling impromptu concert at sunset at their aunt’s seven acre farm.  Beautiful.  Enjoy! xoxo
