As promised, more shots of my engagement session with the lovely Sarah and handsome Bobby! I love that they wanted to include their fur-baby Drake in their session. He was all puppy and wanted to play and prance so we only got a few with him “cooperating”. Too cute. Enjoy!!

It’s been a couple of months since I’ve photographed anyone other than my family. It’s been 9 1/2 weeks since I had my son, 16 days early (!), and I’m itching for some new subjects! My thirteen year old niece came on Sunday to spend some time with me and my family. She’s always such a good sport–totally willing to put on anything I hand her. Doesn’t matter if she would NEVER, EVER put it on and wear it to school As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, my client wardrobe bins, racks, bags etc are overflowing and I got to put some clothes/accessories to work today. Here you go, Rachel! I hope you love ‘em as much as I do! xxoxo

To the Max.

This little guy, Max, came into the world 9 days ago–5 days earlier than expected. His mom tells me he has his nights and days mixed up which is pretty typical for newborns. I think back and now I realize how lucky I was with my first. He was a fabulous sleeper. He seemed to sleep all day and even after the multiple night feedings he was right back to bed! Let’s see what #2 has in store for me this December! Apparently Max decided to sleep more than usual last night despite his momma’s attempt to keep him somewhat awake so that he slept, for sure, for our session. Well…..that didn’t happen! Even at only 9 days he didn’t want to sleep much at all, only a few winks here and there. After about 4 1/2 hours I think we were all “max’d” out and decided that it was time to really let the little guy sleep and get this new mom some rest as well. He slept the entire afternoon after I left, right?! Enjoy!!

It’s been a rough past 5 or 6 days for me. Not only has it been incredibly hot and muggy, on top of being 22 weeks pregnant, I was hit with vertigo last Thursday just out of the blue. Never had it before and let me tell you, it’s not fun! I had to postpone 3 shoots so far because of it. I am feeling better so when I got the request to do this newborn shoot, just 3 MILES from my house, I couldn’t turn them away I wish all of my commutes could be so easy! Anyway, this little darling was born at 36 weeks and 4 days so even at 14 days old she still wouldn’t be considered “full term” or 40 weeks. She was still a tiny little thing! I didn’t get to meet her older sisters; 2 1/2 and 3 1/2….it was just me and her beautiful momma this morning. Despite all the construction going on in the street, literally just outside the door, she did conk out for me but it took some coaxing, rocking and an extra ounce of forumla to put her over the comfy edge. Here are a few quick fav’s from today. Enjoy and just a heads up that I am moving, finally, so I may be out of touch for a few days. :-)
