It’s been a hell of a week. Hurricane Irene wreaked havoc on our yard and left us without power for 4 days. The first day is the hardest. No computer, no internet, no lights or hot water. You are forced into a getting-back-to-basics mind frame. Early to bed, maybe even catching up on a book...

This is a photograph I took on Cape Cod last summer and then and did some Photoshopping to make it look like a painting. I love it so much–I think I’ve found the new piece of original artwork for over our living room mantle! Thinking of getting it printed very large and on a gallery...
